Wherever you go there you are

Hey. I hope you go through your things. You should. Sift through the old jackets. The mix tapes. Records. Stashes. Books, journals — whatever the fuck. Try on an old version of yourself. Notice what fits, what feels baggy, what still hugs you just right. Be able to say that you and your inner child, you’re tight. I keep thinking about that scene in Grey’s Anatomy, where Callie Torres has a tiny epiphany. She says: “I used to dance in my underwear.” And it just… hits. Because suddenly, you’re looking at a version of Callie who probably couldn’t bear witness to the version of herself who danced so freely. There’s something sacred about finally seeing how cool you were. The moment you love your past self, you shift. You summon something extraordinary. A person who recognizes value, even in what was once overlooked. Unlearn the illness of throwing away your “junk”. Go through your things.
